Symbolic Meaning
Flowers Convey |
During the nineteenth century,
there was a tremendous interest in the Language of Love associated
with the different flower forms. Lovers exchanged flowers that
gave guarded and veiled messages. They showed that they were
captives of their Love by giving Peach Blossoms or demonstrated
their attachement through the gift of Jasmine.
We all know that the Red Rose means I Love you and that Mysotis are also
called Forget-Me-Not, says exactly that.
Some of these classical romantic meanings may be attached to the flowers
that are used in a bridal bouquet. A combination of red roses for Love,
white roses for purity, and ivy for fidelity symbolize unity.
